I am interested in creating site specific sculpture that embodies abstract ecological and cosmological forms and concepts and evokes a visceral experience. After all, matter in our Universe is just energy organizing itself into patterns throughout empty space. Whether we peer into the microcosmic world here on Earth or look out into the vast cosmos, we recognize similar laws of physics. I am fascinated by the infinite spatial fabric of interconnectedness, from the smallest particle to the largest celestial body. My work explores these concepts by harmonizing positive and negative space within a specific site by using lightweight materials and cables that interact with light and defy gravity through suspension. Everything is connected.
